Gatsby's Final Desires: Put to Rest or Carried to the Grave?

Hey everyone, one thing that really stuck with me even after finishing the novel and moving onto Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close was the idea of whether Gatsby had finally let go of the dream of having Daisy, or carried it to his grave.  I personally can't decide and its been really hard trying to dissect the final few pages and get any concrete evidence since the book is written from Nick's narrative.  Feel free to post your opinion and any solid evidence that your able to find would be great because its kinda starting to bug me...
